Reservations & Pricing
Reserve online before you arrive. Every ski and snowboard rental package booked through our online reservation system receives 20% off our walk-in rates.
Walk-ins are always welcome, but we recommend reserving ahead, especially for Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents’ Day weekend and spring break. Reserving online guarantees your equipment, saves time at pickup and gets you 20% off.

Yes. Most guests rent for the length of their Vail vacation. Reserve your full trip online, and you can store your rentals with us free each night so you never have to carry them back to your lodging.
Please bring a physical credit card (required for every rental), your reservation name and the ski socks you plan to wear. Knowing your height, weight, shoe size and ability level helps us fit you quickly.
Equipment & Packages
Each ski package includes skis and poles, with the option to add boots and a helmet. You can also rent poles, boots or helmets à la carte. Snowboard packages include a board, bindings and boots.
Demo skis are the latest high-performance models for advanced and expert skiers. Performance skis are versatile, responsive skis for intermediate to advanced skiers. Sport skis are comfortable, easy-turning skis ideal for beginners and cruising groomers. Our techs will help you choose the right one for your ability and the day’s conditions.
Absolutely. Every ski package is available as skis and poles only, and we’ll adjust the bindings to fit your boots.
Yes. Our Junior package includes quality skis, poles and boots sized for younger skiers, with helmets available. Please note we do not rent kids’ snowboards. See our kids ski rentals page for junior prices and fitting tips.
Yes, we offer adult snowboard rentals for all ability levels, including a board, bindings and boots, professionally fitted in our shop.
Yes. Helmets can be added to any rental package or rented on their own, and we strongly recommend them for every skier and rider.
Yes. If conditions change or you’d like to try something different, stop by the shop and we’ll swap your equipment at no extra charge.
Comfort is everything. If your boots aren’t right after a few runs, come back and our techs will adjust them or fit you in a different pair.
Yes. An optional damage waiver is available on rental equipment and covers minor damage from normal use for peace of mind on the mountain.
Pickup, Returns & Storage
Yes. Guests can pick up rental equipment after 4:30 p.m. the evening before their first ski day. It avoids the morning rush so you can head straight to the gondola.
Yes. Overnight storage is free for all Vista Bahn rental equipment. Leave your gear with us at the end of the day and pick it up steps from Gondola One the next morning.
Yes. We offer overnight, daily, monthly and seasonal ski storage, plus seasonal lockers and baskets for personal gear. Seasonal lockers often sell out, so join our locker waitlist if none are available.
Just bring your equipment back to the shop by the end of your rental period. There’s no need to haul it back to your hotel or condo, and returns take only a few minutes.

During ski season we’re open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours can change early and late in the season, so please check our contact page or call (970) 476-2566.
The Vail Village parking structure is a short walk from our shop. Many Vail Village lodges are within walking distance, too.
