Founded in 1977, Vista Bahn Ski Rentals is one of the few remaining owner-operated ski shops in Vail. The Gros family, consisting of Joël, Jane, Sacha, and Dominique, has been immersed in the ski culture for over four decades and takes pride in their ski heritage. When you visit our shop, you are treated like family. Despite the high turnover rate in the industry, we are pleased to have our dedicated staff return year after year, including bilingual Argentinian employees to cater to our international visitors.

In addition to offering top-quality ski rentals, we provide various storage options to make transporting gear easier. We also offer quick repairs, ski tuning, and expert advice on boots and equipment right on-site.

The staff here is very knowledgeable about the equipment and your needs ensuring you have the right stuff for your skiing. They do have for overnight storage, which made it easier. If you’re going to be going to lionshead to ski or lessons you will have to carry your stuff on a bus to the other side. I would highly recommend booking this in advance to save money as the prices on the website are already discounted making it hard to understand what the prices will be upon rental if you did not book in advance. You need time in advance to reserve in order to receive your discounted pricing by 24 hours. They are conveniently located by gondola one so you do not have to carry your gear too far. Overall, a good place to rent your equipment.

Very friendly staff and fast service. Also very affordable prices for Vail. I left my ski’s there overnight for the week I was there so I didn’t have to deal with it on the bus. They’ll even tune up your ski’s for you. Those prices are 2023. The prices might change.
